I'm trying to watch a movie I recently ripped from the Blu-ray. It is a straight rip with nothing else done to it from makemkv. Playback works fine on android, web and windows theater, however on roku it loads, then a second loading bar appears. After this it plays for 5 seconds and then playback stops and the roku goes back to the movie info page in the emby app. I have tried with both the standard and beta roku apps.  I have attached the log for the minute when i tried to play the movie. Other movies work fine.

You want to use MKVToolNix GUI , drag and drop your file into the top panel, and click the "Start Remux" button. There is probably something in the header the Roku does not like. MakeMKV can make files the Roku cannot play due to header incompatibilities. You do not need to re-encode. Just have MKVToolNix GUI remux into a new MKV and this will correct the headers. Afterwards the new file will play perfectly on your Roku.

The Roku stops because it cannot tell the true runtime length of the item. It goes into negative runtime which makes it stop.
