Chiefmas 26
So things like downloading a conversion or just downloading a file to a mobile device (particularly, a non-local), are they bound by the Internet streaming speed? If not, is there a place this can be restricted? I've run into this as a problem in Plex, where it doesn't seem like syncs to mobile devices are throttled at all, so one person running a sync operation can consume all available bandwidth., which isn't great. I'd like to know if I will run into it with Emby as well? Thanks!
Luke 37140
Hi, not it isn't, although it's probably a good idea to incorporate. Best thing you can do right now is configure the app to only download on wifi.
Chiefmas 26
Thanks for the reply! Just so I'm completely clear, it's just going to push out the download and consume all the upstream bandwidth it can in a download (to client) operation? Solution Luke 37140 Posted February 22, 2021 Solution Share Posted February 22, 2021 When the client starts downloading, it will download as fast as it can, yes.
Chiefmas 26
Ok, thanks, good to know! That's definately an enhancement that would be nice, at least for those of us with limited upstream bandwidth!
