FrostByte 5049
According to the link below (information is also in your users manual) your TV doesn't support TrueHD audio nor does it passthrough. Smart TV - Build | Samsung Developers However, it's possible that has changed via firmware update and Samsung just hasn't updated the chart. You can try to turn off the audio conversion by going to your user options on the server and turning off "Allow video playback that requires conversion without re-encoding" and then try play TrueHD audio again. If that works please let us know

The sound bar I use is connected to the earc HDMI of the TV. The sound bar supports True HD sound. But using the EMBY app cannot display TrueHD sound effects, only Dolby sound effects DD+ by sound bar.
Solution FrostByte 5049 Posted February 15, 2021 Solution Share Posted February 15, 2021 (edited) If you turned that option off on the server then your TV doesn't support TrueHD, at least not by third party apps, which is why it isn't listed on that chart. The same thing mentioned here Samsung Q70/Q70R QLED Review (QN49Q70RAFXZA, QN55Q70RAFXZA, QN65Q70RAFXZA, QN75Q70RAFXZA, QN82Q70RAFXZA, QN85Q70RAFXZA) - RTINGS.com Edited February 15, 2021 by FrostByte
