dannieboiz 13
If my media is on my NAS when I stream how are the traffic transmitted? Does it go from NAS -> Server - Client? I'm asking because I can achieve 110Mbps between my NAS and the Client machines but for whatever reason, between my server and the client I can only get 80-90Mbps At the assume direction, I have a slight bottle neck at the server. Spaceboy 2500
Shouldn't have a bottle neck at those speeds though, I don't think
Solution Vidman 589 Posted August 6, 2014 Solution Share Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) I believe if the client is capable of direct play it directly accesses the nas, if it needs to transcode it streams from the nas via the server Edited August 6, 2014 by Vidman
The Baron 64
You can select to implement Path substitution. This is where the clients go directly to the network resource, rather than through the Server (as I understand it). Although, that would only apply if Transcoding was not taking place.
