Yoda 3
My current htpc hardware is not handling 1080p video well (core 2 duo 2.2 processor and g41 onboard intel graphics), so I thought of adding a video card to improve it. If I were to install a video card without changing any settings, will MBT automatically recognize and distribute the load to the video card if the hardware acceleration setting is set to auto? I don't want to buy a video card if MBT continues to just use CPU to transcode. I remember some old threads saying the settings didn't do anything and MBT just defaulted to developer set settings no matter what the value was in the menu. Is this still the case? Deihmos 147
There is something wrong if you cannot playback 1080p. I use a Celeron 1.2ghz on one of the pcs and I have no issues playing using software decoding. Change the decoder setting to dxva.
