Auto Box Set not adding directly to collections

I looked for a post regarding this - forgive me if I missed it.

I have the auto box set plugin working pretty well. It classified all my collections correctly. After hitting the "Refresh Box Sets" button in the plugin page, everything not classified gets immediately added. The movies I added have a collection ID correctly populated on add. It just doesn't seem to add to the collection. So my two questions are:

  • Is there a way to get this to happen on library add?
  • And if not, is there a time/cron based way to do it?

Thank you.

  1. Set Box A exists with 1 to N movies already in it
  2. Add another new movie through inotify to the library that belongs to an existing set
  3. The newly added movie is there, does have a collection ID, but is not part of the box set at this point.

My main goal is to have it belong to the box set after being added in step 2 . Right now I have to take an additional step:

  • Go to the Box Set plugin page and click "Refresh Box Sets"

One thing I haven't tried is simply waiting. I saw allusions to there being a cron that might add it in daily. Immediately is better!

Thanks for the help.

  • Solution

Well good news, in the future, when Emby Server 4.6 is released, it will be immediate. As soon as the movie is scanned into the library.
