Shield and kodi with emby as backend

I have installed kodi on shield 2015

Then i installed emby addon inside kodi

With some movie playback (4K) i have small hickups

The audio continues to play but the picture is stuck for couple of seconds, then it plays further

Any idea?

 

Emby server is on unraid, no issues with kodi on vero 4K (+ emby addon inside kodi)

So its no network issue..

You'll probably need to post a log.

There are lots of reasons this could be happening, but I can say that I do know the should with e4k works with full UHD remuxes without studdering or skipping in my system, so this may be something local to your system.

When you use the shield, to eliminate any possible network issues, use the same network and hdmi cables that the vero uses. 

If that solves it, then you have your answer. If it doesn't, perhaps it is a config issue with the shield. Check maybe that you have the correct resolutions whitelisted, that you have the correct frame rate matching enabled, etc.

I'm assuming a debug log would tell the devs what's going on.
