jlficken 3 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I have the Recording library set up with a Conversion task to make them all MP4's but they seem to be failing. I have attached a log but I'm not sure what the actual problem is. ffmpeg-transcode-23984485-5319-433d-b25f-3d3040f08bef_1.txt
Luke 40079 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Hi, you customized some server transcoding settings. Try setting these back to default and see if that helps: Warning EncoderParametersH264LibX.ConstantRateFactor: Original: 23 Actual: 18 Warning EncoderParametersH264LibX.Preset: Original: veryfast Actual: veryslow
jlficken 3 Posted December 14, 2020 Author Posted December 14, 2020 Didn't seem to make a difference. ffmpeg-transcode-ee65e265-b9d2-4a00-8195-8cb058746dc0_1.txt
jlficken 3 Posted December 14, 2020 Author Posted December 14, 2020 I can get you a copy of one of the videos of you want it? They are coming from a SiliconDust HDHomerun Quadro.
Carlo 4552 Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Hi, can you take a screen shot or two of your TRANSCODING setup screen?
Carlo 4552 Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Can't actually read it as the things are to small. Can you try something. Turn off Hardware transcoding so it's using CPU and try a test conversion on a file and let's see what happens.

Also, I tried it with Hardware Transcoding disabled and it still failed. Log attached... Also, could you request that the Convert screen close once you click on the "Convert" button as right now it just stays open and doesn't give any confirmation that the conversion job has been set up. I've had people create 10 of the same conversion jobs because there's no confirmation. ffmpeg-transcode-350951ab-7fb2-41d9-a12e-62d7ac20af07_1.txt

Luke 40079 Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 I'm sorry I missed them again. Are you still running into this with Emby Server 4.5.4?
Luke 40079 Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 @jlficken can you please try this with Emby Server 4.6.3? Please let us know if this resolves the issue. Thanks !
softworkz 4569 Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 @jlficken - The latest Emby Server Beta includes a new and updated ffmpeg where the error you were experiencing should finally be fixed. If you don't mind trying a beta version, you could download Beta 4.7.0.6 (or later) and check whether it works for you. Thanks, sw 1
