Hi !

Sorry for my English.

Since the update to 4.5.3.0 (Docker on Unraid Sever) The movies library (only movies, series are OK).  The metadata scan is done in an infinite loop.

And the metadata are in English while everything is well configured in French.

bugs ?

@Happy2Play please move my posting to a new topic. Thanks.

Thx in advance

@Happy2Play

Thanks !

Watch this vidz for exemple https://youtu.be/Fa1z5WWSQf8

Bug only for movies.

Automatically update metadata from the internet : NEVER

Preferred metadata upload language: : FRENCH

Preferred image download language: : FRENCH

Principal are remplaced by English. But Art/Logo/etc... are in French...

 Exemple on attach :

"Empire Strikes Back" for Pincipal

"L'empire contre attaque" for art/logo etc...

All worked great at the previouly update

Post server Log ? But there are my url / IP etc...

Can you provide a server log.

Do you have any other program touching your metadata?

I have seen this before when 2 programs touch the metadata.  In my case RTM would run multiple scan when Media Center Master would touch/update my xml files.  So Real Time Monitoring would flag each update and run a scan.

You can sanitize your logs or pm them if you prefer.  We need to see the requests being sent to the providers.

Also what is the image provider order for that library?

@Happy2Play

I noticed one thing.
If I change the scan frequency: never / 30 days.
The problem goes away for several hours before coming back.

I send you my LOG in PM :)

Thx a lot

Do you have xml or nfo files in your movie directories?

Nothing !

No xlm and no nfo.

I have run :

find movies/ -name "*.nfo" -type f -delete
find movies/ -name "movie.xml" -type f -delete

Did you check Moviedb to see what metadata they have available in French for this title?

Yes, existing english and french.

Exemple for Twilight :

image.thumb.png.b4986dc176f138d675aa7a17418c7ddb.png

Principal : English

Art / logo / Vignette : French

Why ?? Is the same issue for all my library.

So I select French picture to principal. And again... same issue tomorrow. Because, my movies folder is scanned at 21h45 continually...

I repeat :) All has always worked well so far. And the problem only affects the movies folder.

However, I have configured : Never scan metadata...

Are those images wrong?

Yes "New Moon " is the English title. "Tentation" is the French title

I thought you wanted French? Where are these images located? Are they in your media folder?

I don't know if you understand what I'm telling you? I'm sorry for my English.

For simplicity : Until now everything has been working fine. When adding movie. The metadata were in French. All meta data was correct and all images were correct. And the regular metadata scan was disabled.

Since the last updates. The metadata scan activates every day at 9.45pm (I believe). endless loop. (see my previous video). And the main image and only it, is replaced by the English version.

this only happens for movies. TV shows are OK. However, the regular scan is indeed disabled!

If I replace the image in French. it will stay until the following evening when Emby will replace her in English.

There is no daily library scan that replaces existing metadata/images.

As for the video click is shows library being scanned that would suggest something in that library has been changed and Realtime monitoring is being triggered.  IE something is changing within your library folder.  So a question would be what other program monitors or touches that library?  Only time is see scan looping is when I have Media Center Master update my media and this drives Emby RTM into a mad scan loop.

Something ?

"Info LibraryMonitor: movies (/media/movies) will be refreshed." every 1 to 5 seconds starting at 21:45:50.

I have nothing that modify my media. And even less every day at this precise time.

The loop stop If I restart my Emby Docker.

Something is causing RTM to see updates and kick off a scan.

So no other metadata manager (plex, jellyfin, ect) that looks at the same libraries?

Nothing.
What I'm going to do to make sure the problem is or not EMBY. I will stop all the "dockers" and leave only EMBY.

And check if the problem returns at the same time.

Can you please show the contents of the folder?

Sorry... I can't

I just ran these commands

root@Unraid:~# find /mnt/user/Media/movies/ -name "*.xml" -type f -delete
root@Unraid:~# find /mnt/user/Media/movies/ -name "*.nfo" -type f -delete
root@Unraid:~# find /mnt/user/Media/movies/ -name "*.jpg" -type f -delete

To be sure to have "clean" media

But it sounds like there are two separate issues here.

I think too...

Because currently my library scan in loop.

I stop now all my Docker except EMBY. But scan the scan is looping
