Local network/ firestick stream types?

Hi all, 

 

Been having to make a few changes to the media servers firewall settings and have come to notice that emby in the firesticks in the house are now showing: 

 

Directplay (what I want) as it's over local network

Stream type: HTTP or sometimes HSL

I'm sure it always said HSL for anything played? Nothing transcodes as I have encoded stuff to avoid stressing the server etc. I have internet based sharing (external) web stream/sharing disabled in the emby server settings. So only shows local network http  in the dashboard. 

If it's over local network, is it normal for direct play media over local network to be showing stream type HTTP? 

 

I'm guessing it is but?
