hfteuwa 1
The november update of several Emby apps (including Windows and Android) improve how file information is displayed in the client app. Unfortunately, the file name is missing whereas it was prominent in previous versions. Why this is an issue This is a real issue as the media information is not meaningful if the user cannot discern which file it applies to. The example below has two files I can choose from. The Media Info tells me that one of the files is twice as large as the other. However, in the new version I still wouldn't know which file I should play if I want to play the largest file. App interface previous to November update: File name clearly visible Updated Android app: File name is missing

The screenshots below are from the Android app, but Emby Theater has gone through the same changes. Luke 37183
Hi, the logged in user needs to be an admin on order to see the file name.

Then why does the previous version of the app in fact show the file names? Also, why provide media information if the user won't know which information belongs to which file? The information is not usable that way.
Luke 37183
I don't recall that it ever did. It's been that way for a long time.

It only changed 8 days ago. I installed version 3.1.23 for Android and the file names are there. This version was from May, but it was the newest until the 3.1.59 update of November 13. hfteuwa 1
Just now, Luke said: Is the user that you're logged in with an admin? No, I am using my family's server but I'm not the admin. All screenshots are from non-admin users. So previously non-admins could see file names, now they cannot anymore (if they are using the newest app version).
