godfuture 2
Hi, I was working many hours now with Mp3Tag and improved my data quality a lot. But still I get duplicate artists, even the spelling seems exactly the same. Then I noticed that there is a difference, if an artists appears alone or delimited by /. The pattern is that for every appearance delimited + one as unique an entry was created. Example: Alicia Keys: appearance delimited 4x, unique: 1x -> 5 112: appearance delimited 2x, unique: 1x ->
Solution Happy2Play 8321 Posted November 10, 2020 Solution Share Posted November 10, 2020 Best guess is Extended tags (musicbrainz ids) (alt-T or right click tracks). I am guessing each on has a different musicbrainzalbumartistid which creates a AlbumArtist mismatch and creates the issue you are seeing.

Removing it solved most of the issues. I noticed that also multiple artists were mentioned in music braint artistid separated by comma. I had to change from comma to "/" to make this work.
