Tv Shows Images won't download?

From where does Emby pick up images for TV shows?

Quite often no images are picked up for TV shows, and when I go to tvdb.com there are images for the show, with the same tvdb series ID, and the same language as I use, but Emby still won'tdownload the images, why?

Hi, by default it is tvdb. What metadata image providers are enabled on your TV library, and in what order?

I only use TVDB as metadata providers for my TV shows, theis is what the settings look like:

That is the metadata section, can you scroll down further for the image fetchers.

Sorry you need to enable Show Advanced settings also.

Can you go over a specific example and post the server log.

Also note there is minimum 24 hour wait from the time of update to when it will be available.

Yes, I will get som examples, and check the logs.

 

What do you mean by "there is minimum 24 hour wait from the time of update"?

Normally when I add a new TV show I do a manual "Scan libraby files" of TV shows, then the new show  and it's metadata and images will appeasr whithin a minute or two.

Sorry that is in reference to anything updated/added to TVDB.  So just because the web site shows it does not always mean it is available.

Here is one TV show tha doesn't fetch any imagetsfrom TVDB.

A swedish show called Lyckoviken

It looks like this in Emby:

 

I also attached the embyserver log, and at the bottom of the log file is where I did a manual "Refresh metadata" but still no images.

I also don't find any images when I do a "edit images" and click the search buttom.

Not sure what is going on as it looks like you go info from TVDB 7 time (4 in English, 3 in Swedish), the another Refresh 3 in English, 3 in Swedish.  I don't see the initial query for the series but you go a en.zip first and it does not provide links for the image.

I am guessing preference is not set or properly following language options.  But can not see the true show query only the language zips by id.

What is the Emby Display/system language?  What is your library and image language option set to? 

 

I had no issues testing this setting library Preferred metadata download language, Country, and Preferred image download language to Swedish.

It was the "Preferred image download language" that was set to English, now that it's set to Swedish the images gets added when doing a  "Refresh metadata".
