mpegts container incompatible

I am having issues playing TrueHD clips  in my shield pro. It's transcoded to Dolby(and lose Atmos), the reason being unsupported mpegts container.

Plex runs it as trueHD without issues. Is this an Emby limitation?

Found some other articles mentioning the same issue. Turns out its .m2ts file which is not supported by Emby. That answers the problem.

Hi.  It should be relatively easy to convert that to an mkv or mp4 that would direct play.

That shouldnt be the correct answer lol.  Plex handles it, emby should too :P

Exoplayer has only implemented it for mkv. They must have customized it on their own to work with m2ts, so we'll have to look into that.

@RokuGuys

If you are familiar with ffmpeg CLI - it's very easy to change the container (you lose no video or audio quality in doing so)

ffmpeg -i input.ts  -vcodec copy -acodec copy -f matroska output.mkv

Only downside I can think of doing that would be a 3D movie on Samsung TVs as it wants it in an m2ts container to do auto switching.
