ebr 14903
Hi. This doesn't have anything to do with the source of the live TV but Emby will share streams when possible. This won't always be possible (like two different qualities required) though.
swenth 30
So buying extras connections is useless with Emby ? Would be good to know because it would save ton with that

Carlo 4330
Generally speaking, f multiple people are watching CNN then Emby will try to use 1 tuner only and share the "incoming" stream/tuner with all who are watching it. If for example you had 3 people watching CBS, 2 people watching NBC and 4 people watching CNN you would have 9 people watching Live TV but Emby would try to only use 3 distinct tuners and would try to share them. Emby can also share the tuners when recording as well. You would still need multiple tuners/streams to support people or recordings on different channels. Basically each distinct channel being used needs a tuner/stream. Let us know if you still have any questions.
