Hello
Google is going to use new OS for their Smart TVs, instead of Android TV.
It`s called Google TV, very similar to ATV. Will Emby be awiable there?
Just a question :)

So Samsung is switching from Tizen to GoogleTV?

GoogleTV is basically a re-skinned AndroidTV so I don't see why Emby wouldn't work on it.

Yeah, just looks like a UI layer on top of Android TV.  Basically just a re-branding (again) it looks like.

This is also how they are launching their new advanced Chromecast device.

Our app should already work on it.

It does (work).

Picked up my new "Chromecast with Google TV" yesterday.  One quirk - attempting to install directly from the Play Store, it saw the Chromecast device but it was greyed out for installation.

On the Chromecast. I went into Home|Search for apps, entered Emby, and it quicky found Emby for Android TV.  I installed from there and it all seems to work well so far.  I went back to the Play Store and now it sees the app as installed.
