Where Metadata is stored when downloaded by the server

Two basic questions on Metadata:

 

1. Where does MBS store all metadata if the option to "save metadata into media folders" is disabled?

2. what happens with the metadata when the movie is deleted? does it delete the metadata (like subtitles for example) ? (with the same option mention #1 disabled, of course).

It is stored in the defined metadata folder. The default will be %appdata%/MediaBrowser-Server/Metadata. This can be changed in the Configuration Tool for the server under Metadata -> Advanced. If you look at the Configuration Tool's Dashboard and expand the System Paths section, it will tell you exactly where your Metadata is stored.

 

I don't know if it is deleted when you delete a movie or not. I store my data with my media.
