Twixter 4
Hello, I have a small issue, i have a folder with 6000 files that all need to be renamed. The good news is i need to remove the exact same part. The structure of the files is that they are numbered before the file part it's numbered from 0001 to 6000 So for example 0003 - Filename 0139 - Filename 4239 - Filename So i need to remove XXXX - From all 6000 files (the numbers and the - ) and i don't feel like doing that by hand. Could anyone suggest me a easy way to rename all of this at once?

arrbee99 1560
Bulk Rename Utility has a remove first x characters, if thats what you want (and a Preview to check its going to do it correctly).
Twixter 4
I've looked over the interface but it looked very intimidating . Could you maybe point me in the right direction? as long as i can preview it there is no risk + i made a copy of the folder just incase

arrbee99 1560
Guess you'd just put a 6 or whatever for First n and leave From as is. Remember to count spaces.
Gilgamesh_48 943
For simple renaming jobs I use the lite version of The ReNamer

Twixter 4
Yeah i've been wanting to get into scripting myself but i've never really taken the time for it but it can safe you SO much time in the long run and it's so versatile.
