ebook plugin

Hi All,

 

I have installed the book reader plugin as my partner loves to read I have 3 questions.

 

1. What is the best site to get ebooks free or otherwise ?

 

2. What format does the software media browser use for reading the books ?

 

3. Do I just make a folder called "ebooks" then add the book files into the folder?

 

I'm using the crystal theme

1. Ebooks can be "found" or bought all over the internet nowadays, google will be ur friend on this one

 

2. Depends on the client u are using, MBClassic u can use whatever eReader u normally use and it should open up once a book is selected, calibre I believe is the one most people suggest, u just need to set windows to open up calibre when ebooks are selected. Android app let's u select ur preference of of external eReader also, then downloads the eBook to ur phone so u can read it (they are usually tiny files anyways, less than 1mB for epubs).

Not sure if any other clients support ebooks yet tho.

 

3. I believe u should have a books>author>title format structure and also install the ebooks plugin and set it up properly.... All the answers for folder structure can be found in the knowledge base
