ronmramsayii 14 Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 Is this feature request dead? Just curious to know, as one of the people I share my library with has a wife, three kids, all with mobile devices and like 3-4 Apple TVs in his house… that’s almost 10 devices.
Neminem 886 Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 (edited) Under access of that user, untick device - all. And limit the access to what you want. Edited December 16, 2023 by jaycedk 2

Thanks for the guidance. My only question is, how would you know who is who? And maybe that's something I need to test...
Neminem 886 Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Yes that would be something you would need to test.
Testfor69 8 Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Good evening, I'm currently in the middle of a puzzle....evtl can someone help me... It's about the 50 device premium which is limited to 50 devices per server. This means that a user cannot log in on 20 devices, for example, but only 2 video streams are allowed at most. Then he would subtract 20 from the 50, leaving only 30 over....which unfortunately should not count towards the restrictions on streaming. Because normally it makes sense to me if the active streaming devices are deducted from the 50 Device Premium and not the registered ones...or am I just making a mistake ? Thanks for any advice and thanks for the help....

You are, Premiere device limits are not concurrent streaming devices number but devices that utilize Premiere features within one week period (more-or-less). Is there a limit to Emby Premiere? 1

Is there a limit to Emby Premiere? Thank you very much for the answer first... So you can still register for 10 devices, and in my 50 devices per month, 10 devices will not be deducted...? https://emby.media/premiere-ext.html Boah, I think I took a wrong turn in my head, sorry for all the questions. Unfortunately the HowToDo is not available in German...;)

Not unless any/all of them utilize some Premiere feature (you can check which features would that be here: Emby Premiere Feature Matrix ). 1

Almost impossible to say example as I know only 5 out of the 21 shown are Premiere clients. But in the end there is no easy way to know how many premiere slots your server has available at any given time. As any client requiring premiere will fall off after a week or so of inactivity opening the used slot. Note in no way are the listed devices shown in Devices a good indicator of used Premiere slots as a browser can appear multiple times and doesn't typically use premiere but really depends on your total/overall usage. 1
Testfor69 8 Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Ah, slowly the hollow head is illuminated...so only the premium device users, the individual users are then deducted from the 50 prem devices per month.... Oh man, that's a bit complicated for a newbie, but that means I'm even more excited about it...;) Thanks in any case...

Of course, YMMV, maybe you have extensive circle of friends or really large family. Or both. Your server Settings>Emby Premiere tab will show you usage in general terms for your subscription, you can occasionally drop an eye there just to be aware, else it's pretty much fire-and-forget process.
