MrHMMD 2
Hi there. i have the same trouble like some (many) other users with emby and my synology nas. no connection to internet (serverside) check for application update failed check for plugin update failed no metadata download no plugins for installation visible all connection to internet from (emby) serverside are stuck connection to internet from (synology) serverside runs fine my configuration: synology ds413j dsm-version 6.2.3-25426 emby server version 4.4.3.0-1 fixed ip (no dhcp) no vpn no quick-connect the time and date are set correctly all apps that are not system-relevant are stopped fritz box 7362 SL for normal: differnt Upnp-mappings (temporarily deactivated) i have read many articles. here as well as in synology forums tried solutions: set date and time correct (ntp) - check - no effect (synology forum) change network settings to dhcp and back to fixed ip - check - no effect (synology forum) deactivate quick-connect - check - no effect (emby forum) deactivate vpn - check (not installed) - guess... no effect after every change (above) i restarted the nas after I have searched this forum step by step, this problem seems to occur with version 4.4.3.0 (possibly already with version 4.4.2.0) since this problem only becomes apparent when you add a new movie or other content or go to the admin console, many users will not have seen or recognized this problem yet. because of the faulty communication no error mails are sent. my suggestion: is it possible to roll back to the last stable version before 4.4.2.0? last but not least... 3 screenshots and embyserver.txt: embyserver.txt

MrHMMD 2
hi @tzutzu no. I didn’t forward any port. my goal isn‘t to reach the server FROM outside. the problem is that the server (emby) DIDN‘T reach the outside. the synology itself reaches the internet. greets
Happy2Play 8281
Pretty sure this is a open issue as there are several topics with this "TrustFailure" on all external connections. 2020-06-25 00:07:54.114 Error HttpClient: Error TrustFailure getting response from 2020-06-25 00:07:55.930 Error App: Error in The Open Movie Database MediaBrowser.Model.Net.HttpException: MediaBrowser.Model.Net.HttpException: Error: TrustFailure (Authentication failed, see inner exception.) ---> System.Net.WebException: Error: TrustFailure (Authentication failed, see inner exception.) ---> System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException: Authentication failed, see inner exception. ---> Mono.Btls.MonoBtlsException: Ssl error:1000007d:SSL routines:OPENSSL_internal:CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED
MrHMMD 2
hi, thanks for your reply... ok. let's start from here. i have a virgin hard drive lying here. I will now install this and reinstall dsm on it. without adjustments. and then we'll see if emby runs on this "out of the box" system. i think i will be finished by sunday. after that i will post my result here. have a nice day
MrHMMD 2
hey ho... a little faster than expected ... my wife went out today i have now reinstalled my synology with a new hard drive. absolutely clean. no system adjustments ... first test: i installed emby with standard values. now guess what the problem is ... emby CANNOT connect to the internet! like here in this topic, the environment is listed as the cause of the error i think that soon more and more users whose system has been updated to 4.4.3.0 will report this problem. under these circumstances i would be happy if someone now says ... "houston .. we have a problem" and that the problem is seen as an "emby" problem. and not as a synology or configuration problem. I personally would find this very helpful ... my current embyserver.txt is attached embyserver.txt
MrHMMD 2
I found the release page on github. there is the possibility to download older versions of emby. but unfortunately not for synology. is it possible to also provide the older installation packages (spk) for synology there?

Paulshelling 9
Just about to start a topic to say the same thing, Emby doesn't update Metadata and it can't identify anything, it seemed like it wasn't able to connect to the internet. Is this an issue with Synology? What's going on?

Is this an issue with Synology? What's going on? it seems to be a problem after the update 4.4.3.0 (maybe already 4.4.2.0) I personally think it is therefore an emby problem. but in the other threads they only try to present it as a synology problem. all i can read at regular intervals so far is the question of whether the problem still exists. questions about a downgrade or a solution or anything else actually go unanswered. I'm really frustrated
