revengineer 127
Since upgrade to v4.4.3 on Windows I get a daily error for the extraction of subtitles for a particular movie. The error is listed in the dashboard. This movie has been in the library for years. Please advise how to fix. The log shows: 2020-06-06 05:00:08.135 Info SubtitleEncoder: ProcessRun 'ffmpeg-subtitle_extract' Process exited with code 1 2020-06-06 05:00:08.135 Error SubtitleEncoder: ffmpeg subtitle extraction failed for file:"C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache\temp\11e5849e-1d22-4572-9725-138a8f51afa1.txt" to C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache\subtitles\8\81cee1b8245cd0890b7198f773ce6385_637270308080613290_0_0_0_False.srt 2020-06-06 05:00:08.135 Error SubtitleEncoder: ProcessRun 'ffmpeg-subtitle_extract' Output: 2020-06-06 05:00:08.135 Error SubtitleEncoder: ProcessRun 'ffmpeg-subtitle_extract' Error Output: ffmpeg version 4.3.0-emby_2020_05_23-g8f222573e9+530 Copyright (c) 2000-2019 the FFmpeg developers and softworkz for Emby LLC built with gcc 9.2.0 (Rev2, Built by MSYS2 project) Execution Date: 2020-06-06 05:00:08 Input #0, tty, from 'file:C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache\temp\11e5849e-1d22-4572-9725-138a8f51afa1.txt': Duration: 00:00:14.12, bitrate: 47 kb/s Stream #0:0: Video: ansi, pal8, 640x400, 25 fps, 25 tbr, 25 tbn, 25 tbc Output #0, srt, to 'C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache\subtitles\8\81cee1b8245cd0890b7198f773ce6385_637270308080613290_0_0_0_False.srt': Output file #0 does not contain any stream 2020-06-06 05:00:08.137 Error App: Error downloading subtitles *** Error Report *** Version: 4.4.3.0 Command line: C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\EmbyServer.dll -service Operating system: Microsoft Windows NT 6.2.9200.0 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: True User Interactive: True Runtime: file:///C:/Users/admin/AppData/Roaming/Emby-Server/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll System.Environment.Version: 3.1.4 Processor count: 4 Program data path: C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata Application directory: C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system System.Exception: System.Exception: ffmpeg subtitle extraction failed for file:"C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache\temp\11e5849e-1d22-4572-9725-138a8f51afa1.txt" to C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache\subtitles\8\81cee1b8245cd0890b7198f773ce6385_637270308080613290_0_0_0_False.srt at Emby.Server.MediaEncoding.Subtitles.SubtitleEncoder.ExtractTextSubtitleInternal(String inputPath, String inputSubtitleCodec, Int32 subtitleStreamIndex, String outputCodec, String outputPath, Int64 startTimeTicks, Int64 endTimeTicks, Boolean preserveOriginalTimestamps, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Emby.Server.MediaEncoding.Subtitles.SubtitleEncoder.ExtractTextSubtitle(ReadOnlyMemory`1 inputPath, String inputSubtitleCodec, MediaProtocol protocol, Int32 subtitleStreamIndex, String outputCodec, String outputPath, Int64 startTimeTicks, Int64 endTimeTicks, Boolean preserveOriginalTimestamps, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Emby.Server.MediaEncoding.Subtitles.SubtitleEncoder.GetReadableFile(String mediaPath, MediaProtocol mediaSourceProtocol, IDictionary`2 requestHeaders, MediaStream subtitleStream, ReadOnlyMemory`1 outputFormat, Int64 startTimeTicks, Int64 endTimeTicks, Boolean preserveOriginalTimestamps, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Emby.Server.MediaEncoding.Subtitles.SubtitleEncoder.GetSubtitles(String inputPath, MediaProtocol inputProtocol, IDictionary`2 requestHeaders, MediaStream subtitleStream, ReadOnlyMemory`1 outputFormat, Int64 startTimeTicks, Int64 endTimeTicks, Boolean preserveOriginalTimestamps, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at MediaBrowser.Providers.Subtitles.SubtitleManager.GetConvertedStream(Stream downloadedSubtitleStream, SubtitleResponse response, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at MediaBrowser.Providers.Subtitles.SubtitleManager.DownloadSubtitles(Video video, String subtitleId, LibraryOptions libraryOptions, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at MediaBrowser.Providers.MediaInfo.SubtitleDownloader.DownloadSubtitles(Video video, LibraryOptions libraryOptions, List`1 mediaStreams, Boolean skipIfEmbeddedSubtitlesPresent, Boolean skipIfAudioTrackMatches, Boolean isHashMatch, Nullable`1 isForcedSubtitle, CultureDto language, String[] disabledSubtitleFetchers, String[] subtitleFetcherOrder, VideoContentType mediaType, CancellationToken cancellationToken) Source: Emby.Server.MediaEncoding TargetSite: Void MoveNext()
neik 837
Not really helpful for your issue but I am wondering how are extracting subs using Emby? I do extract the subtitles as well but need to use mkvextract for it. €dit: Or does this happen while transcoding? revengineer 127
Something obviously changed since v4.4.2 since the affected movie is old and the error was not previously reported. I may have fixed the issue by manually downloading the subtitles file through the GUI. The most popular one had a download error which may have caused the issue. I simply selected another version. I had to rescan the library before the error stopped showing up during the subtitle download task.
neik 837
I think I misunderstood your initial post but for clarification: You were not trying to extract subtitles within a mkv file, right?
revengineer 127
No this is an mp4 and does not contain subtitles. I also was not trying to do anything manually. I was reacting to a pesky daily error that shows up in the alerts on the dashboard.
