Played-status after new identification

I think the Played-status goes missing after a new identification.

 

For example I have a series that for example is called "Show A", a show with this name has been released in for example 2012 and a new one in 2019. The original / automatic identification classifies this as "Show A (2012)", I do not notice this and watches a couple of episodes. Now I have 2 episodes with the Played-status set for my user - I use the "Identify" method and chooses that my show is "Show A (2019)", now the Played status on the episodes are missing.

 

Is this a bug or a feature?

Hi.  It isn't really either one...perhaps a deficiency.

 

We store watched status by series and episode information.  This is so that you don't lose that information if you move things around or replace files etc.  In your case, this is causing the issue because the watched status is associated with the old series.
