Emby crashed and will not start up again

Recommended Posts

Hi, my Emby server, running on my TerraMaster TNAS, crashed today right as I was browsing through the movies. It was running fine and then it stopped. So I looked on my web interface and it was stopped, and there appeared to be an update available. So I clicked update, and it stopped at 99% and said it failed. I cannot remember the exact error. Then I tried to start the server again and it says operation failed. I do not want to uninstall and reinstall as I will have to completely reset up the server again. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Hi, did you try rebooting the NAS?

Hi, did you try rebooting the NAS?

Yes I have, several times. Is there a way to force the update to apply again?

And I assume you've tried the update again after the first time?

That's just it, I do not know how to get it to update again. Right now, the only option is to uninstall it.

**UPDATE**

I decided to try uninstall and reinstall just to get it running again (I was afraid I would have to reset all the emby server stuff back up again, but to my surprise, it actually fixed it and remembered all my previous settings!
