Yogi 367 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 First off I am going to say I like these themes and have purchased 3 of the 4 available. But at the present moment they are all unusable. When they where useable they where great to use but.......... The general feeling that I gather from the forum is that a lot of people are upset that they have paid for these themes and are not even in a useable state with various things wrong with them. This in my opinion reflects badly on the overall use of Mediabrowser to the point that people will go elsewhere and try a different product. With Lee not around and not making regular updates to his themes I propose that they be removed from the catalogue at least until they are updated to a satisfactory state to be used and make the Mediabrowser experience one that people are onlytoo happy to come back to again and again. Lastly I am going to say I cannot comprehend the vast amount of time it goes into making a theme and real life comes first but there is no point in having half hearted themes in the catalogue if it is damaging to the MB brand. A short snippet of problem links and disgruntled users just to back up my point and I am sure there are more on the forum. http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/8380-aztec-breeze-roc-crystal-themes-not-fitting-with-updated/?hl=crystalhttp://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/7754-issue-with-media-theme-songs/?view=findpost&p=105582&hl=crystalhttp://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/8276-aztec-theme/?hl=aztechttp://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/7534-roc-v1300-beta-now-live/?view=findpost&p=101850&hl=aztec 1
Cheesegeezer 3096 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/6569-lees-themes/I'm couldn't agree more with @@Yogi. I have thought this for some time now. @@ebr is there a possibility that you can personally flag Themes and plugins in the Plugin Manager within MBC, and slap an unsupported sticker on the artwork and grey them out a bit. leedavies 301 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Except that they aren't unsupported. They are supported and updates are already out for Crystal and ROC. Breeze and Aztec updates are very close to being released. Yes, I had a spell of not being as active on the forums as I would have liked due to real-life, but I'm back now. Thanks for your concern and you were quite right to raise the issue. I'm just glad I'm now back and able to resolve things.
Yogi 367 Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Well lee, I initially brought this up because as I said in my OP, the way the themes where performing was detrimental to the ovderall feel of MB and leaving a bad taste in a lot of user's mouths. I know real life comes first and everyone gets busy but you should have possibly have posted or given us paid users a repsonse of what was happening or when you was going to be back. Anyway glad to see you are back and the themes are getting updates and as I posted in the ROC thread,it is working without any hassles. Cheers Yogi

When I get home tonight I'm back onto the debug build of ROC and that pesky EHS navigation. Glad to hear the ROC upgrades are working well. The same core code is in the upcoming Breeze and Aztec updates.
