mrjn 0
Hi !I'm trying the emby solution to setup a server media. I use my personnal computer (i7-7700k, 16Go ram, no graphic card) to direct play on my mibox 4s. My computer is wired to my internet box and the mibox uses wifi. They are really near as the mibox is over the internet box. I hade a few lag issue tonight. It was like 4 seconds freeze (looks like it was not buffering or doing something : no loading wheel) Checked for the logs, hope it's the good ones. Don't know why one was about transcode... I disabled it I believe. ebr 14959
Hi. It looks like you are burning in graphic subs in a 4K HEVC file. All of that adds up to significant processing power being needed on the server. The reason the transcoding/burn-in was needed is due to the combination of graphic subs and an audio format that is not supported by the Mi (DTS-HD MA). Either obtaining a version with a compatible audio track or obtaining text-based subtitles would probably eliminate your problem here.
mrjn 0
oh ok, kind of good for me ! I believed it was my network failing. Will work on the subtitles stuff and choose more carefully the audio format ! Thanks for your answer, will keep you updated !
