Is this will all items or just one?

This is with both 4k and 1080p movies. Tv shows do resume as intended.

You could try trans-coding or direct playback in the playback settings in embycon.

Kodii crashing is usually a media issue

What would be the difference between http stream and file direct path?

Nvm, didn't work with direct path

Direct path is something to try. It plays the media back directly from your file share instead of going through Emby. You may needs to set up a file share your kodi client can access and set up path substitution in Embry to get this to work.

I don't have access to the file share, only through emby.

Can you attach the emby server log from that timeframe as well? thanks.

Does this man you are using someone else's server?

That will limit your options I guess.

Try transcoding the playback and see if that helps.

I've no access to the emby server aswell, it's a friends friend running it.

Nothing weird going on in the crash log? It's just resume on movies. Playback is working fine elsewhere, got a powerful SBC so no need to transcode.

the transcode was to test a different approach to see if it worked.

Yeah sure, I can try and report back
