Damien_ 28 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 This is a weird one. TV shows- no matter how many times I rescan it, do not show all the seasons for any TV series I have. You can see the number of unplayed episodes but it simply doesn't list the seasons. It does this with all my tv shows. Take for example 30 rock. I have all the seasons and episodes available, and emby clearly sees the episodes as it shows 135 unplayed. However if you open it up, it shows season 7 available and then shows the season 1 episodes for 'next up'. Is there a setting I've totally missed or is there something I'm not doing correctly? I've rescanned and re-added my library paths multiple times. It does this for every single tv series I have. It either shows one random season or none. The weird thing was for a long time I unknowingly had tv shows as "Mixed Content" and it wasn't until I changed it to TV Shows that this problem occurred. Any help is very appreciated.
Luke 39008 Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Hi there, can you please go over a specific example, along with the file and folder naming? Thanks. 1
Damien_ 28 Posted April 22, 2020 Author Posted April 22, 2020 I'm not sure I follow, I showed an example with the included screenshots or did you mean something else? As far as the directory it's: TV/30Rock/Seasons 01/30 Rock.S01E01.Episode name.1080p.mkv
Luke 39008 Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 What you could try as a test is moving that entire series folder out of your library, then run a full scan to clean out the database, and then add it back.
Damien_ 28 Posted April 23, 2020 Author Posted April 23, 2020 (edited) What you could try as a test is moving that entire series folder out of your library, then run a full scan to clean out the database, and then add it back. It’s all my series not just the one. I deleted the library in Emby and recreated it. It does the same thing. Should I move everything out of Tv? It's many terabytes, but if that fixes it I'll do it. Damien_ 28 Posted April 24, 2020 Author Posted April 24, 2020 Update, I'm not getting seasons if I switch used "Mixed content" as the library. Weird, this wasn't an issue until recently. Up until last month or so the seasons for TV shows showed as expected.
Luke 39008 Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 As a test, can you try recreating the library with a different name? Thanks.
Damien_ 28 Posted May 28, 2020 Author Posted May 28, 2020 (edited) I did. Deleted the entire library a few times and called it "TV", TV series and then again leaving it as the default title (TV shows I think). I even set it up as "Mixed Content and the same outcome (I thought this wasn't the case per my earlier post but I suspect I didnt look hard enough). Each time the issue persists and on the most recent effort there were more than half the shows dont have seasons. I'm a a Total loss. As opposed to other inconveniences this one is a big pain in the ass. Can I provide a log, or run some test or something. Id like to get this fixed so I can start sharing with my people so I can be done with Plex for good. I'll do anything. Happy too dive into the weeds or speak with whomever, run tests etc. If you think I might be able to add value please dont hesitate to ask. I know Mac pretty well. Thanks a lot. Luke 39008 Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 How many libraries have you created and what folder is added to each one?
Damien_ 28 Posted May 31, 2020 Author Posted May 31, 2020 How many libraries have you created and what folder is added to each one? how many total libraries have I created in Emby? Movies, sports, TV and I have one for DVR recordings. TV is abvioopisly the problematic library. The TV library has two folder from two different network drives. Not sure if this answers your question.
Damien_ 28 Posted June 2, 2020 Author Posted June 2, 2020 Ok please try the upcoming 4.4.3 release. Thanks. is there a 4.4.3 for Mac yet? not seeing it on github yet
Damien_ 28 Posted July 25, 2020 Author Posted July 25, 2020 Hi sorry to hound on this. It doesn't seem like it's a massive problem across MacOS. I see a few people mention this but it's clearly not everyone. Is there something Im doing or should be doing? The frustrating part is you don't know it's happening until you want to watch something that isn't there. Most of my stuff shows up, but random series will be missing. If I recreate the Library the shows that were missing, are now there. But then other shows that were there are now missing. Hard to get your arms around.
Luke 39008 Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Try disabling the option on your TV library to automatically merge series, maybe that's what's happening. Then run a library scan. Please see if that helps. Thanks.
