jachin99 87 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 I'm not sure what happened here but I'm on the latest stable version of server, and kodi 18.6. There was another user who reported the same issue in this thread https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/84345-impossible-de-démarrer-certains-épisodes/#entry867381 . I have tried resetting the local kodi database, and downgrading to 18.5 but I haven't had any luck. My issue is the selecting a file to play, either nothing happens or I get a message that says something to effect of "One or more items failed to play..," I posted them in the other thread but to make things easier, here are some logs. sualfred 677 Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 I don't see anything special just a error spamming script. uninstall script.tvtunes and try it again.
jachin99 87 Posted April 6, 2020 Author Posted April 6, 2020 After removing TV Tunes, my files play like normal. I'm going to see if there is anything latts on the kodi forum can do to fix it so I can reinstall it though. Thanks for the help.
Luke 40064 Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 Let us know what you find. Thanks for the feedback.
jachin99 87 Posted April 8, 2020 Author Posted April 8, 2020 Well, I'm getting a lot closer but I still don't have everthing where I would like to be just yet. I'll summarized what I have described so far on separate thread on the kodi forums.. 1. File, and theme playback both work in my current setup. 2. I don't need to update advanced settings.xml. 3. I had to define a path for .nfo files in the settings for TV Tunes. I tried a few different directories but at the very least I believe I need to set this location to be somewhere in Kodi's userdata folder. When I tried to set the path for nfo files to the root of a given drive, no .nfo files were generated. 4. TV tunes.nfo files are being created for Movies but NOT TV Shows under the folder /Userdata/addondata/plugin.video.emby/library/MEDIANAME.
jachin99 87 Posted April 10, 2020 Author Posted April 10, 2020 I'm looking at why tvtunes.nfo files aren't being created for tv shows by what is most likely TV Tunes itself (Luke has already told me it isn't Emby which makes sense). I looked at some log data that was created while I browse my TV Shows in kodi. The log data that occurred during my browsing activity referred to the content type as Videos, and Home Videos. Could my issue be that E4K maps what are listed in the Emby database as TV shows to the Videos, or Home Videos database in Kodi?
Luke 40064 Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 That could be an issue, yes. Did you check the content type of the library in emby server?
jachin99 87 Posted April 10, 2020 Author Posted April 10, 2020 I fixed new TV Show themes not being added by telling emby 4 kodi to sync theme media as outlined in the github docs here https://github.com/MediaBrowser/plugin.video.emby/wiki/Actions There used to be a button in the E4K menu or settings to do this but i don't see it there any more. I'm attaching a Kodi log and hopefully someone can look at this and tell me definitively what addon creates tvtunes.nfo as it takes an action on E4K's part to create tvtunes.nfo. Are you really sure it HAS to be TV Tunes creating these? kodi.log

We'll I'm not an expert with the tvtunes add-on for Kodi but I can tell you that the Emby add-on doesn't interact with it at all or touch tvtunes.nfo.
