FireTV 4k: Emby-App E-AC3 not working - Kodi no problems

Hello,


i have a FireTV 4k Stick with:


- Kodi 18.6 and Emby-Sync-Addon
- Emby App (lastest release from app store)


Emby-App:
If i play a 2160p movie with E-AC3 (8 channels) its jerky. If i change sound to AC3/DTS/Stereo i have no problems.


Kodi:
If i play the same movie with Kodi, i have no problems and E-AC3 works without problems.


I disabled transcoding on server and client and use direct play over nfs.


Cause it works with Kodi, i think that there are no problems with my hardware (receiver with DD+ / Atmos) an my wlan (5 GHz > 390 Mbit/s).


What makes Emby-App diffrent to kodi that kodi works and emby-app not?

Yeah, we had DD+ disabled on the Fire for this very reason but people complained about transcoding so we put it back.

 

It is possible that the new version of Exo in the current beta of the app corrects this.  Are you willing to try the beta version?
