homefield 0
It can't be just me, but using the default player I cannot play MPEG4 with Audio MP3, however if I use an external player, such as VLC it plays. More often than not it says "Giving up Too many errors", but if it does ever load, no video is displayed, only audio. The format of the files which have the issue are AVI (xVid or DivX). I use Android TV on a Shield 2019. I am a Emby beta user but this does not help. I have tried the official version, even rolled back to older versions but it always has the same issue. Oddly they load fine on my Emby Android phone app, so the issue is contained within the Android TV apk. I have no idea how to get the logs, but my Emby username is homefield. ebr 14959
Hi. That container is typically very problematic but can we please look at a specific example. Thanks. How to Report a Problem
homefield 0
A log has just been sent from my Android TV app @ 14.31pm BST. Sound is present but no video. The show is DivX, but Emby sees it as MPEG4. Username: homefield
homefield 0
A further log has been sent with error code; Too many errors. Giving up at 14.34 BST. This show is xVid.
ebr 14959
A log has just been sent from my Android TV app @ 14.31pm BST. Sound is present but no video. The show is DivX, but Emby sees it as MPEG4. Username: homefield There should have been an ffmpeg log produced from that playback. Can we please see it? When the item got to the video player, it had no video stream. homefield 0
I've checked and have no idea where the ffmpeg logs are kept. Please can you advise or send me a link of how to do. VLC via "external player for videos" plays both files, so they definitely work.
ebr 14959
Hi. Instructions for where to find logs are in the topic I linked above. Thanks.
homefield 0
I sent the 2 logs via the "send logs" button on Emby as detailed at the above link.
ebr 14959
Yes, but there would also be an ffmpeg log on your server from that playback. That is what we are asking to see now.
