Hi,

i´ve got a Problem after updating to the newest Version of MBC.

I can only play Blu-Rays when the Computer is connected to the Internet.

I-m using the mce-plugin from TotalMedia.

It seems that MBC can´t connect to the Server without internet-Connection.

I´ve attached a log-file. Could you please help?

Thanks in advance

Hendrik

From your log, it appears you ghave issues connecting to your server, bear in mind, my German is rusty... I was born in Munchengladbach but English thru and thru, and i'm looking at the log on a phone.... I may have missed something. Are u using UNC paths to your server

Hi Cheezegeezer,

thanks for your reply. I´m using UNC for the Media Library. It seems that MBC can#t connect to the Server without internet-Connection. This happens since the update.

How can i use UNC Path for the Server?

We are connecting to your server just fine but it is throwing errors.  Would have to see the server log to know exactly what they are.

Also, I don't see any errors that should actually affect playback though.

No, those are simply attempts to validate registration status and are not related to playback in any way.  Nor should they affect it - unless perhaps the theme you are using is a premium theme that disables playback if the trial is expired or it cannot validate registration. But, even if that is it, it should only have to validate once every 30 days.

What I do see, however, is that the server is throwing an error as we try to report that we are playing an item.  The server is unable to find our session.

Are you on a dev server release?

@@Luke - has something changed in the playback reporting API?

Thanks for your help.

I´ve found the Problem.

It´s the UNC-Path. I set it for the Library \\pc-Name\Folder\. This is an external path. It must be a local path: \\localhost\Folder.

Curious that it worked for a couple of weeks.

You´ll never stop learning ;-)
