stevedawg85 2
My Scan Media Library has failed forever, and I ignored it for the most part, until I realized my "Next Up" tv section isn't working. From browsing around, this is most likely related, anyways...... Emby Server 4.3.1.0 running on Openmediavault Log - https://pastebin.com/njDemFRW My detective work from the log: 2020-02-25 11:28:52.246 Error BaseItem: Error refreshing owned items for /var/lib/emby-server/root/default/TV Shows I logged in as Root to browse this folder, and it does not exist. Instead it is titled: /var/lib/emby/root/default/TV Shows 2020-02-25 11:28:51.982 Info LibraryMonitor: Stopping directory watching for path /srv/e94462f2-e0da-4adc-b76b-b56ccf2557b3/Media/Videos/TV Shows This is an accurate folder, along with /Movies Thanks! I couldn't answer how long this has been happening, at least a few months, nor would I know what caused it. In the past few months, I have replaced a bad HD & updated Emby Server. Luke 37232
Hi, so I'm guessing these libraries that are failing don't show up in emby library setup, right?
stevedawg85 2
Hi, so I'm guessing these libraries that are failing don't show up in emby library setup, right? Actually, that's the weird part. Everything is updating fine. My new movies and new TV shows are populating 100% normally. It's just my "Next up" section doesn't show up, I've tried Browser, Android, & Fire Stick. Since everything is still updating and works (except next Up), I've ignored the error until I realized a "next up" section would be helpful for me. stevedawg85 2
Hi, so I'm guessing these libraries that are failing don't show up in emby library setup, right? Wait, I mis-understood you at first. You are correct, when I go to Emby Settings > Library > it shows my Movies & TV Shows folder, however, both are empty with 0 folders. I cannot click into them to further investigate the path.
stevedawg85 2
any advice? If I "re-add" my directory, will things duplicate? Also, not sure if related, or worth another post. but on certain media, typically happens on movies, It'll get chocked up at a certain point, and I have to restart the movie and FFWD to after that point and continue watching. Here is a log I believe of it happening. https://pastebin.com/8Dms86XE
stevedawg85 2
Well, I decided to proceed with re-adding my content and now I do get the "Next Up" section. However, now I have a duplicate movies and tv show folder which I cannot delete. the three dots do not show up in the empty folder to edit/delete: https://imgur.com/a/P4RURKo This is actually causing duplicate "Latest Movies" & "Latest TV Shows" twice on my emby home screen. A bit annoying, but all my content still works so yay. Just looking to clean that up. Also, my "Scan media" is still failing because like I said I do not have the below directory var/lib/emby-server/root/default/TV Shows it is instead: /var/lib/emby/root/default/TV Shows https://pastebin.com/BQaf6Kpj
stevedawg85 2
Figured it out: My movies and TV shows had duplicate entries, so I had to go into var/lib/emby-server/root/default/ and delete the old Movies and TV Shows. That cleared up the error and cleared up my duplicate sections. Edited March 4, 2020 by stevedawg85
Luke 37232
Thanks for the feedback ! Glad you sorted it out. I will try and determine the root cause to ensure it doesn't happen again.
