Let's jump right into the highlights: New text subtitle delivery system New metadata refresh options DLNA Improvements New Channels New Channel Improvements Unified web interface New Text Subtitle Delivery System The server now has the ability to deliver text subtitles directly to the client, thereby eliminating the need to "burn them in" on the fly. What does this mean? It means that the server will no longer be forced to transcode on account of subtitles (though it may still for other reasons). It also means that clients have the ability to customize the appearance of the text. Notice in the screen below, this is how the Chrome browser chooses to render them, but in the future, we can offer customization around this. Ask the developer of your favorite client to support this new delivery system. It is currently used by the web client, and is coming soon to Roku. New Metadata Refresh Options When you refresh metadata using the web interface, you now have the ability to replace all images we well. The "Identify" feature will do this automatically. DLNA Improvements User audio language preferences now respected User subtitle language preferences now respected Seek is supported via remote control Changing audio/subtitle tracks on fly is now supported via remote control Numerous DLNA server improvements - more devices should be supported now Playing a music album or folder should now function correctly New Channels Thanks to Snazy2000's continued efforts, the list of available channels is growing rapidly. New Channel Improvements Now you're able to see your latest channel items just like any other content. Some channels also support downloading content ahead of time for smoother viewing: Unified Web Interface The web interface now has the same look wherever you are and should be easier to navigate and learn, no matter how you use it.
