mrx23dot 0
Does emby server consider write-to-disk minimization to prevent SD card wear out in RapsberryPi? E.g. writing MBs of data during watching a movie. Could someone please check? sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install iotop # list every 1min disk users sudo iotop -o -b -d 60 -a -P
Solution mastrmind11 717 Posted January 28, 2020 Solution Share Posted January 28, 2020 if your media doesn't require transcoding, then it'll only be writing to the log file.
mrx23dot 0
Is it possible to turn down logging level, after everything is working fine?
Luke 37242
What logging do you feel is excessive? Can you please go over an example? Thanks.
mrx23dot 0
I was thinking setting a logging level of ERROR, so normally nothing would be in the log after watching movies. Is there a config file for that? What about meta data (cover..), any heavy disk write there during watching a movie?
Luke 37242
The default logging really should not be too bad. Again if you have a specific example of something you feel is excessive, then we're happy to discuss it. We don't have an error level setting for logging, but it's possible for the future.
