Looking for all audio formats the native apple player can play (when contained in an MP4), with details. i.e., max bitrate for each, max sampling rate, max channels for each, etc. Not what Emby does, not HLS streaming. Apple developer doc for native player that has details. I can't seem to find it.

I think in this case, it is going to be very hard to find.  From Apple's perspective, there is no reason for them to have to publish anything more specific than they did in those docs.  If you find something more specific, please let us know though.

They give some of the information but not all of it. Unfortunately that's all we have to work with.

Yeah, so, things as simple as saying Apple Lossless can be played. So, I put an ALAC 5.1 into an MP4, direct played it, and, it played 2 of the channels. So, it's true Apple lossless can be used, but, without knowing limitations of each format, trial and error. I would have thought somewhere in developer doc it would detail this, but couldn't find any.

Ya, I have not been able to find a more detailed resource yet.
