jachin99 82
I have a few artists that show up twice under the artist tab in music, even when the musicbrainz IDs are the same for each person. Is there a way to delete one, or combine them? Thanks.
Luke 37118
Hi there, can you please go over an example? thanks.
jachin99 82
I'll use adele as an example. I have one album by her but she shows up twice under artists. When I try to delete one or group the two entries together nothing changes. I have a few different artists like this. jachin99 82
https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/80639-duplicate-artists-and-artist-images/?hl=%2Bartists+%2Bshow+%2Btwice I found that, and I'll take a closer look but I didn't see anything weird about my tags at first glance. Each entry for adele has the same musicbrainz, and audio DB id. They're identical except for the date added, which I'll try to change. I also disabled the audiodb in my library scans for music to see if that helped but it didn't.
jachin99 82
I went as far as to delete the audiodb plugin from my server. I also looked at the tag information in for each track using mediainfo. I still get two entries for adele. EDIT: After a full metadata refresh, something I did solved the issue so I'll have to try some things out, and see what solved the problem. EDIT AGAIN: it looks like about 90 percent of my doubles are gone so I'm guessing removing the AudioDB, and knocking my music library down to 1 metadata provider probably fixed the issue. C_J 1
Same problem here, 2 times sames artist. One entry contains all albums, second entry contains nothing except artist name. Even if I delete all metadata+ fotos, 2nd artist still exists with empty datas , except "date added", which cannot be deleted.
jachin99 82
I don't think I have any more artists that show up twice after modifying my files with MP3Tag. I had to refresh metadata & scan the library a few times but eventually everything kind of worked itself out.
