Hello Emby,

I would like too try your out (comming frem Plex), but got a problem with Emby dont sort Tv shows and Movies from each other.

My setup is:

Folder: /Files/
In this folder, there is both Tv shows and Movies.

I'v made a library for Tv show and a library for Movies.

The Movie library is allso finding Tv shows - so its mixed.

The Tv show library is not finding any media.

What do I do wrong?

you need to seperate your tv from your movies into different folders, and then add them each to your library as the appropriate content type.  Alternatively you can try "mixed content" as the library type and see if that works better for you.

Thanks for the reply mastrmind11, but seperating it will not work for me. So I will try the "Mixed content", but sadly I will return to Plex, i guess.

Now I got two library - one Movies and one Mixed.

How come they are working in the same folder, when Movies and Tv shows dont? :)

Can you explain a little bit more. I'm having a hard time visualizing what you're saying is working/not working. Can you show a screenshot or two to demonstrate? What is your file and folder organization and naming?

There you go. Sorry for the bad screenshots, but I think you get the point.

I got 3 libs (looking in the same folder), where two are working (not finding All meta data, but that I havn't gone it yet)

If the "mixed" and "movies" can look in the same folder, why can't "movies" and "tv shows"?

You can't use the same folder in multiple libraries. It's something we'd like to support but we're not there yet. So I would just do the one mixed library.
