ulrick65 20
I was doing a little system maintenance and I came across a disabled service for Emby (my server is working fine). Here's the two entries: emby-server.service enabled emby-server@.service disabled Any idea what the disabled one is all about? Thanks.
Luke 37116
Hi, did you have our old opensuse package installed a long time ago? It could be left over from that.
ulrick65 20
No, this a new install about 6 weeks ago. New hard drive, full install of Ubuntu 18.04 and then built from there....with just a restore of the configs in Emby. I will simply delete it, but I wanted to ask why it might be there and let you know about it. Thanks.
Luke 37116
I'll pull in our package developer for comment. Thanks.
Solution alucryd 216 Posted January 20, 2020 Solution Share Posted January 20, 2020 This is an additional systemd unit in case people want to run the emby server as a user different than "emby" which is a system user. People might want to run the server as their own user to simplify access to their media files.
