But what if you re-save and clear out the 0 to an empty value?

As long as you clear the 0 before hitting save, you will not have any issue.  Ideally these fields should never contain 0.

I assume this was/is a TVDB v1 metadata issue.

@@Luke would have to comment as I don't know if v1 api alway returned a value of zero instead of no value.  Don't know if another work around or additional coding is needed to ignore zeros in the zip xml metadata.

    <airsafter_season>0</airsafter_season>
    <airsbefore_episode>1</airsbefore_episode>
    <airsbefore_season>1</airsbefore_season>
The website has a empty field.

And using their swagger and querying episodes I get this.

      "airsAfterSeason": null,
      "airsBeforeSeason": 1,
      "airsBeforeEpisode": 1,
So the issue is the different data returned from TVDB via their api.

Yea it was an issue when they started having api problems. The issue what to do about episodes that are affected. The problem is some people could actually be using 0 values there.

I do not see this issue adding the new special for Arrow S00E09.  So I would assume this issue only applies to specials during or possibly refreshed during TVDB issue already in the library.
