Shadowking 3
Hi guys, Using Emby Premiere for a year now, it's really smooth and user-friendly and I thank you all for your hard work. Two days ago, I noticed that I missed a bunch of artist thumbnails in the artist list, so I tried the "Identify" function.Basically it never returned any result, even with the most famous artists listed on MusicBrainz or TheAudioDB. My setup : OS : Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)Emby Server version : 4.3.1.0 Support : Docker (image : linuxserver/emby) SSL : Behind a frontend proxy (HAProxy) Please find attached logs. Luke 37251
Hi, what did you enter into the search dialog?
Shadowking 3
I'll show you how I proceed, maybe I'm doing it the wrong way. Let's have a look, I would like to have a thumbnail for Eddy de Pretto : As you can Elton John and Ed Sheeran have been correctly found by default, nothing to do by myself. I'm going to TheAudioDb to check if the artist I'm looking forward is saved : Then, I right click on the artist -> Identify : With the name only : leads to : a bunch of result, no pic, first one seems ok so I confirm. But I can't find any metadata that was missing previously, and still no pic. If I just do a search with MusicBrainz or TheAudioDb ID's : it returns nothing : and Emby reports the error you can read in the attached logs. If I combine both ID and name, I get same results as with sole name.
Luke 37251
Try searching on the musicbrainz id. The audiodb id is not used for identification and therefore should not be listed on that screen.
PenkethBoy 2063
To see if images are available use - Edit Images - from the menu for the item No need to identify to get an image if images appear for Eddy - just choose one what order do you have your metadata providers set as for your music library? - as if the first metadata provider finds the artist it may not have an image - and Audiodb might be second in the list etc etc
Shadowking 3
@@Luke : Ok I get it, single result with MusicBrainz ID. @@PenkethBoy : Ok I get it, with Identify I won't see any images. Doing as you said with Ed Sheeran basically show pics when I edit images. Poor Eddy, still a long way to go to have his face on MusicBrainz Priority metadata downloaders is set as MusicBrainz ->TheAudioDB So everything seems working as intended, doesn't it ? Luke 37251
Yes it appears to be working but we need to get the audiodb Id removed from that dialog so that it doesn't create false expectations. Thanks for the feedback.
