brief pause during playback

My GF says that when she plays movies in the app it occasionally pauses/stutters for a split second. It's very brief but obviously noticeable in a video. I watched it happen on her computer in both 1.8.38 and 1.8.40

 

All my movies are h.264 m2ts with ac3 5.1 sound. The files were remuxed and it happened on multiple movies. Playing the same movies (via direct paly) in MBT on her computer worked fine.

 

MBT was a temporary solution, and I haven't tested since MBT was installed (just in case LAV or some codec may have changed the playback).

 

Has anyone else seen similar issues in the app? I checked the server and the percent of the file remuxed was higher then the point she was watching so it wasn't that the server couldn't keep up.
