simono5 21
The internet is awash with porn. Why cheapen the MB3 product with these trashy channels. Very poor choice IMO.

ebr 14912
Just FYI - by default these items are hidden from the catalog. You have to opt-in to even know they are there.

simono5 21
To have the chance to reply......I appreciate porn is popular, that the channel is hidden and that I have the choice. My concern is for the reputation of the product and nothing else. Imagine browsing the internet and finding the amazing MB3. You're interested and want to know more so you continue browsing and see posts linking MB3 to porn. I'd suggest many users would instantly dismiss the product and move on to another option. Porn is available everywhere you turn so why integrate it into MB3. Simply no need and doesn't fit at all with the product.
Koleckai Silvestri 1150
All the competitors have the same channels. It is an option and there are a wide variety of users. It is one of 10 channels now, two of which are adult.

Well, considering that the goal of MB is to deliver your content to you (now with MB3 to any device you have) I don't see how this doesn't fit in with the product. I'm personally not going to use this channel but some people will.
flexage 125
Hey guys, Not really making a big announcement on this one, don't want to spark off any debates as I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. I've started this thread to provide support for the YouJizz Adult channel released earlier today. You can either post any bugs/issues here or PM me directly
techywarrior 688
I think you should totally change your MB forum signature now. Who cares about TheGamesDB when you are the lead dev of the YouJizz channel! Interesting first channel to make

BillW 30
Lee, are you a mind reader? That's my plan for this autumn as long as it's not viewable from my main HTPC. Hey, I'm old, not dead.

This is why we quickly added the feature to hide these by default in the catalog just before the last server release. But, we can't just say that we won't accept these channels in the infrastructure if there is a high demand for them.
ireme 11
Sorry but not quite understand the reason for the review of this post.. Speaking of product reputation but to my MediaBrowser is to play any audio and video content (not just play movies Disney). Channels is a great idea and now there are few channels available but it would be a lot more choice and everyone to choose what you want. I do not like nor see any gay movie but for people who like good if you want to be able to install it, but never do a critique of it to Mediabrowser team or who likes. flexage 125
Well, all I can say about this thread so far is that the conversation is full of well balanced arguments. We already had the beeg adult channel, but I thought I could go one better and add better ways to drill down, lol, to the content that users were interested in, as beeg only had 2 folders. @@techywarrior - interesting "second" channel to make, lol, I released the TWiT channel last week. And I plan on doing several other free channels that are not adult ones. But thank you to everyone here for some honest feedback... Its very real, lol

RAZ2013 1
flexage, could you add some direct restriction features as well as make it available to the MBC main window? Possible in the server user library access feature since it is adult related material.
Koleckai Silvestri 1150
Should be able to control access on the library access tab for each user already. That is possible for all channels.
flexage 125
I was gonna say... I've already rated the content as over 18, so that parental settings are respected. Channels can also be hidden from specific user accounts in the user prefs on the server... I have no more I can add on my end. MBC is entirely separate from my server plugin code. RAZ2013 1
Your right flexage, Channels does have that feature, with the option to allow or not allow access for viewing. Thanks! Curious though as to why you would create a plugin that does not work with all features of MB3? Basically meaning that it does not show up in MBC on a Windows 7 machine via Media Center. Now in Windows 8.1 it does via Media Center.

ireme 11
Flexage, I install the application but when play a movie, screen goes to black (tried with severals). Please check if server it's down or I have any codec problem. (Which movie streaming it's using? avi, mpg...? I have a low bandwidth, for next release could possible support downloading content prior to viewing? Edited June 19, 2014 by ireme
flexage 125
@@ireme - I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with playback, I've checked and at this time the server is up and running... the videos are flash video (flv) encoded, so they will pretty much always need to be transcoded on the server, no matter which client you're using... so that I can help you could you please let me know which client(s) you've tried... at present I know that channels are supported on Roku Client, MBC, and the Web Client, not sure about the others, but I can do some testing... also, a server log (and if possible ffmpeg log) of the unexpected behaviour would probably lead to an answer. I'll have a look a look at supporting downloading content prior to viewing for the next release
RAZ2013 1
Luke, what I meant is that Channels do not show up in MBC3. Others are having this same issue. They only show up in Windows 8 and browser mode. After doing some forum searching for channels and the other new plugins that are now found in Channels, I found that the MBC3 programers are in the works to make them avialable to all MB3 clients. Luke 37064
That's because its a new feature that the other apps need to support.
