EMBY on shield tv Pro (New & old) all movies pause & randomly stop playing

Running EMBY  v4.3.0.26 on FreeNas 11.2-u7, 

all movies randomly pause & sometimes cause the shield to shutdown.  FFmpeg & emby logas attached.

I can try that but this occurs with any movie regardless of quality. while the very same movie plays without indecent via amazon firestick 4k (I've even played them in paralell, it stops on the shield but continues to play on the firestick)?

I can, I'm doing a little more troubleshooting, as I recently installed Plex & experienced almost similar pausing. I'm beginning to suspect  deep latent network issues. I'm connected via wifi at the moment but cant hard wire as of yet. I'll update this status after I do some more digging.
