Gui76 6
Hi, in the web client and on Android (phone/tablet), there is the option to "play all from here". That option is a Godsend for the use case of watching family videos: lots of very short videos. Received my Shield yesterday, and I cannot find this option in the Android TV client, making family videos barely watchable on the big screen (so many clicks required, my fingers hurt :-) ) Could this be added please? Thanks
ebr 14912
Hi. Exactly where are you trying to do this and how?
Gui76 6
Hi, in the android TV app I browse to my category (of type 'home videos and photos', if that matters) I see all the family videos I click on one. I see the options to "play" and "add to queue". No option to "Play all from here". I go back, to see all the thumbnails again. I long press on a video. The context menu appears, with the options to: "play" "add to queue" "add to play next" there is no "play all from here" option either On my android phone/tablet, if I long press a video thumbnail, in the context menu that opens there is the option to "play all from here" (the second after "play"). In the web client, I can see the same option if I click on the little ... next to the video thumbnail Thanks
ebr 14912
Okay, so you are talking about just in the normal grid view of items. Thanks.
Gui76 6
is there any way/menu/view to have that option right now on Android TV?
ebr 14912
A playlist would give it to you.
Gui76 6
it's very different. I would need to add all items to the playlist, one by one.
ebr 14912
It isn't ideal but that's how you could do it right now. You can create a playlist fairly quickly with the web app and multi-select.
Gui76 6
ok, thanks for the workaround. There are 1500+ files in the folder, though :-) Any chance the real "play all from here" arrives on Android TV?
ebr 14912
Yes, it will. But I'm not sure the player will handle all 1500 files .
ebr 14912
If you'd like to test this in beta you should be able to do this with your home video library now. Thanks.
Gui76 6
I've just signed up for the beta, and received an update in the play store (version 1.7.57g) Nothing changes, though, I do not see anything new when I long press on a video for example. Do I have to do something else to test it? Thanks
ebr 14912
Hi. The current beta is .58. Google appears to be a bit slow pushing our beta releases these days.
Solution Gui76 6 Posted November 23, 2019 Author Solution Share Posted November 23, 2019 Hi, I've just received the .58 update and can confirm the "play frome here" option after a long press works just fine. Thanks, that's great!

GrimReaper 3291
Assuming you're talking about "Home Videos & photos"-type library, AFAIK there's no such option under subfolders in Folders view, only in main library view. @ebr
