active device not showing up

Did not know where to post this.

 

I just set up a new windows 8 machine. 

 

MBT can see the server watch all movies etc.  But the server does not show it as a active device.

 

I browsing on my ipad and playing through there but can not do this now.

 

Any help much appreciated.

 

My win 7 machine works fine.

I have tried everything with windows 8 and still can't get MBT on this machine to see it as a active device on server

Maybe that client's firewall is blocking the websocket port?

I looked at the firewall and it is allowing the program.

 

I will check again.

Just checked all ports are open.

 

I even disabled the firewall to check and still not being seen by the server.

 

The weird thing is I can watch everything log in etc.

 

Just the server does not show it as a active device.

Really was hoping to use the remote feature for this computer.

ok reinstalled windows 8.1 and mediabrowser now its working.
