Q-Droid 642
What should the calls from the plugin look like in the log because what I see is below and it isn't finding subtitles which I know Addic7ed does have. I can find them manually on the site for the same show and episodes. Q-Droid 642
I have Open Subtitles, The Sub Db and Addic7ed plugins configured. When using the 3-dot menu to find subtitles for an episode manually, example: Brooklyn-Nine-Nine S06E02, only Open Subtitles returns a list while Addic7ed returns none. The Sub DB is hit or miss for most things but at least I can see the hash search in the log. I can try to find subtitles for any other episode of this show or other popular (not obscure) shows from Emby with the same results. But doing so manually on the Addic7ed website using my same account credentials I can find multiple subtitle files available for each episode. It's the same for The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, South Park, etc. The only indication that it's even using Addic7ed are the log entries in my OP, but that's all there is. Those don't look like the calls to Addic7ed I've seen posted by other users.
Luke 37062
Did you consult our wiki on this If Subtitles are not automatically downloading?
Q-Droid 642
I'll check it out.
amb13 17
I have the same problem. Must be a bug either in the plugin or on addic7eds end. I notice that when you follow this link https://www.addic7ed.com/ajax_getShows.php you can't actually get to a show. Maybe that's just the browser or maybe it's something that's not working. I re-installed the plugin, checked my credentials, checked that the subtitle exist on addic7ed. Can't find anything wrong on my end.

amb13 17
Hi there @@amb13, please answer the same questions that I asked to Q-Droid. Thanks. I'm not exactly sure which questions. but I did consult that wiki. though I'm mostly interested in manually download. Examples are for every show I try. To name a few. Succession, Watchmen, Fargo. I keep the files with filenames in the style of Show.SXXEXX.1080p.x264.DDP.5.1 etc.mkv When I search for subtitles manually, only opensubtitles return with matches noone from addic7ed. Q-Droid 642
Did you consult our wiki on this If Subtitles are not automatically downloading? I've looked thru the wiki, nothing there applies to this issue. My automatic sub downloads are working except that as far as I can tell they are only coming from OpenSubtitles and occasionally SubDB. Granted my config has Addic7ed as the lowest priority downloader. My issue is the same as @@amb13's. The manual downloads do not list results for Addic7ed. But there's this - the story is a little different for movies. The search/fetch for movie subs is different from TV subs. From my Emby server log: Manual TV sub search: 2019-11-08 05:03:05.685 Info HttpClient: GET https://www.addic7ed.com/ajax_getShows.php 2019-11-08 05:05:46.657 Info HttpClient: GET https://www.addic7ed.com/ajax_getShows.php Manual movie sub search: 2019-11-08 17:44:31.778 Info HttpClient: GET https://www.addic7ed.com/srch.php?search=Elf&Submit=Search 2019-11-08 17:44:52.704 Info HttpClient: GET https://www.addic7ed.com/srch.php?search=Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince&Submit=Search 2019-11-08 17:45:23.863 Info HttpClient: GET https://www.addic7ed.com/srch.php?search=Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban&Submit=Search 2019-11-08 17:45:40.787 Info HttpClient: GET https://www.addic7ed.com/srch.php?search=Monster House&Submit=Search 2019-11-08 17:45:53.122 Info HttpClient: GET https://www.addic7ed.com/srch.php?search=The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!&Submit=Search 2019-11-08 17:46:12.020 Info HttpClient: GET https://www.addic7ed.com/srch.php?search=The Nightmare Before Christmas&Submit=Search 2019-11-08 17:46:27.627 Info HttpClient: GET https://www.addic7ed.com/srch.php?search=The Right Stuff&Submit=Search 2019-11-08 17:46:27.851 Info HttpClient: GET https://www.addic7ed.com/movie/83845 The Right Stuff was the only one to return anything from Addic7ed. amb13 17
Seems to me like there is something broken with https://www.addic7ed.com/ajax_getShows.php then. Like it's not returning anything
Luke 37062
Ok the issue here is the addic7ed api, or lack thereof. We've asked them about this and they've said they are preparing a new api. all we can do is wait for that.
Q-Droid 642
Oh, I thought the latest plugin was based on their API. So this hasn't happened yet? In that case I'll just uninstall it until further notice.
