mbc0 63
Hi, I have done some searching and I keep seeing references to ROKU for BIF Files, what purpose do they serve generally? I have 52GB of them in my TV series collection alone. (between 2-5MB each episode) what would I notice if I turn off thumbnail creation, what would I see instead? I am guessing they are for the purpose of the images below
Solution Happy2Play 8356 Posted October 8, 2019 Solution Share Posted October 8, 2019 Bif has nothing to do with episode thumbs. The bif file is a collection of images taken at a 10 second interval if default setting is used. Using the browser as a example, you know the images you see when slide the mouse across the playback progress bar. That image is from the bif at the set interval you had them created in. I believe their usage has been added to all apps. And your chapter images would be extracted from that bif file also.
