Trakt Question: Clear watch status

I have some watched movies in my Emby libraries. I've cleared the watched status of some movies on trakt web site. When I import watched status from trakt, those movies I cleared the watch status on traktv still appears as watched in Emby. Shouldn't the watched status of movies watched in Emby be marked as unwatched?

Check the settings for the Trakt plugin

By default (I think), the option 'Skip Unwatched Import from Trakt' is ticked

So only watched statuses will be imported

Have you explored the trakt scheduled tasks?

Have you explored the trakt scheduled tasks?

Yes, they work correctly.

- If I watch a movie en Emby it's marked as watched in trakt.

- If I mark a movie as watched in Emby, it's marked as watched in Trakt

- If I mark a movie as watched in Trakt, its marked as watched in Emby

- If I mark a watched movie in Emby as unwatched in Trakt, it's not marked as unwatched Emby. It only fails here.

I see that the resume time is sent to Trakt while a movie is playing. But when Trakt states are recovered that time is not updated, I mean, If I play a movie in other server, I can recover the watched status, but If the movie isn't finished I can't recover the resume time status. Is that true?

When I import status from Trakt, resume time is not imported, is that true? Or it’s something wrong with my setup.

Ok, we'll see what @@J2ghz thinks. Thanks.

A friendly reminder, any news?

Not yet. @@J2ghz will be looking into these two things. Thanks.

Please try the Trakt plugin 3.3.6 and report your experience. Thanks.

No, that's not fixed:

1. You start watching a movie in Emby, you stop at 30 min

2. Continue watching the movie in another software in sync with Trakt, you continue watching at 30 min, that's good

3. You finish watching that movie and Emby marks it as watched, that's good

4. Resume position is still at 30 min in Emby, so it's still in "Continue Watching" row, that's not good

Let's see what happens in the opposite case:

1. You start watching a movie in other software in sync with Trakt, you stop at 30 min

2. You import Trakt watched status in Emby

3. That movie is not in "Continue Watching" row

4. If you finish playing the movie in that software, then watched status is imported

My conclusion is that when yo run "Import Trakt watched status" task, It's only imported watched status, resume time is never changed.

With version 3.3.7 works a bit better:

1. Now If you start watching a movie in other software, when you import playstates resume time is imported, and movie appears in "Continue Watching", great improvement!

2. But when you finish watching the movie in other software, only playstate is imported, resume time remains the same, so the movie is still in "Continue Watching"

Thanks!

A great improvement also would be (request is free  :D ) only import resume time if it's greater than resumable time definied in the library.

Now I have somes Episodes with resume time at 2 seconds, because the started playing in other software and playback was cancelled immediately after the start of playback.

Hi, just to note as well. I have justed upgraded to version 3.3.7 of the trakt plugin and a large amount of items have appeared in my continue watching list. Most show that a second or even less has been

played of the program so far. I have tried marking a few as played but when the sync with trakt is done again they go back to the state of having 1 second or less played so far.

I have the same problem as BorgKnight, where my continue watching is filled with items that have resume points of only a few seconds played. Everytime the scheduled task for Trakt runs, it seems to come back.

This information must be taken into account when importing resume times from Trakt:

The settings are correct, the problem is that this settings are not taken into account when importing resume times from Trakt.

Cool, just wanted to post them to show in case it might help resolve the issue.

Version 3.3.8 of the trakt plugin will incorporate library resume settings when importing data from Trakt. Thanks.
