SamES 925
Normally this error 'Max bitrate' means that there was an error when the file tried to DirectPlay and so it is transcoding instead. As requested, please provide the logs, etc
lejared 29
I experienced the same event at 6 Mbps bitrate. I went to the "settings" section of the app, and changed settings for "playback". There I set the option for "home network quality" to max (4k - 120 Mbps) instead of "Auto", which was default. After that it will play any video files without transcoding. Seems like "auto" detection didn't work very well. Both, my TV an my Emby server are connected through 1 Gbps LAN, not Wifi. Though it looks like my Samsung MU8009 only got a cheap 100 Mbps LAN Port. Well done Samsung!

Javier GC 0
Hi Here I left the info, is another topic but the same Vídeos transcode https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/76315-display-mode-with-app-installed-from-usb/ The subject here is that the app installed by USB I don’t find the option to change the auto network velocity... SamES 925
This video looks like it is from a Samsung home video camera recording? Is that correct? It is possible that there is something unique about the file format that causes the player to fail. As I mentioned previously, the error you see 'max bitrate exceeded' often means the player failed to direct play, so it transcoded instead. This brings me to the same conclusion. Javier GC 0
Yes it is from Samsung Recorder. It plays without transcode in Tizen Emby app (deforming the image) & in default player for Samsung TV (adjust image automatically, started from inbox DLNA player against emby server). Something must happens I have thousands of videos from the same Cam Recorder and play perfect on Sony Bravia 1080p p.e or even in emby iOS app The best add some cuts & captures Could be the problem the pixel size? It is 1080p 1920x1080 Edited August 13, 2019 by Javier GC

Javier GC 0
Hi Luke Where Can I find that example ? I attached some logs here https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/76315-display-mode-with-app-installed-from-usb/ Edited August 13, 2019 by Javier GC
Luke 37994
Are we talking about the same thing in two different places?
Javier GC 0
No here is about the transcode in the other topic talk about the black bars and deformations
Luke 37994
So what exactly is the problem? In this log here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/76315-display-mode-with-app-installed-from-usb/?p=775451 You have the in-app quality setting set to around 3 mbps. The original bitrate is higher than that, so the server transcodes to meet your quality setting.
Javier GC 0
Hi Where are the 3MBs? I changed it globally to 40MBs at the server, could be wrong but I updated the inputs referring to Max Bitrate. in-app quality setting set to around 3 mbps, Where is that option in the app? Could you tell me indications and captures? I don’t find it. Thanks Edited August 14, 2019 by Javier GC
Luke 37994
It is a setting in the Tizen app. Did you explore the options in the app?
FrostByte 5139
@Javier GC you have to enable "Allow video playback that requires transcoding" for that user on the server before you will see the option in Tizen (or any other app) under Settings...Playback Though I'm not sure why it would be transcoding if that option is turned off Edited August 14, 2019 by FrostByte
